Debit Cards

The Citizens MasterCard Debit Card allows direct access to funds in your checking account. The Debit Card can be used at any location that accepts MasterCard to make retail purchases or cash withdrawals at an ATM machine.

  • No annual or monthly fee
  • No retail transaction fee for retail purchases
  • Use your card everywhere MasterCard debit cards are welcome
  • MasterCard SecureCode – Free, simple-to-use service that provides an extra layer of security when you shop online. If the transaction appears unusual based on your normal activity, you will be asked challenge questions, such as the last 4 digits of your social security number. Three incorrect answers may result in your card being temporarily suspended. If that should ever happen, please call the Bank to reactivate your card.
  • ATM transactions not initiated at a Citizens Bank of Americus ATM are subject to an additional fee

In our continuing efforts to keep your accounts secure, we’ve improved our alert system to help detect potential fraud. This new service protects you by watching over your Debit and ATM transactions 24/7 using state-of-the-art intelligence technology and skilled fraud experts. If we detect suspicious transactions, one of our fraud specialists will attempt to contact you right away. We’ll disable your card immediately if fraud is confirmed, and if you aren’t available, we’ll assign your card a special “watch” status until we know all is well.

Important reminders:
  • When a fraud specialist attempts to contact you, they will never ask for your PIN or account number.
  • The phone number for our Fraud Center is 1-800-237-8990. If you add this number to your phone contacts and label it “Fraud Center,” it will display on your phone whenever you get a call from this number.
  • If you also add the shortcode 96923 and label it “Fraud Center,” it will display on your phone whenever you get a text from the Fraud Center.

During non-business hours, please call 888-297-3416 to report a lost or stolen Debit or ATM card. Our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to personally assist you with cancellation of your card during normal business hours.
